• I'm so happy you've stopped by my blog! I hope you'll stay for a few minutes, take a look around, relax with a cold, bubbly beverage...

    These days, I'm no longer working with clients. (What the future will bring, I cannot say!) You'll find me now at home, playing with my kids; and likely taking pictures of them, too!

    {Hugs} and a huge thank you to the clients who have been so supportive over the years! I will miss shooting for you.

Painting by Hungarian artist Peter Ujhazi {Bethesda, MD Photographer}

A few weeks ago, I was introduced to the work of an artist who was unfamiliar to me, Hungarian artist Peter Ujhazi.  It was my privilege to get to photograph a painting of his that was truly incredible — the detail, right now to including the dates where he worked on each section.  Goosebumps.

Photographing paintings near Bethesda MD(To protect the artist from unauthorized reproductions, I’ve added the borders in the above image, and cropped the edges of the original painting.  The result doesn’t quite do the painting justice, of course…. )

And my thanks to Sarah Gaw Consulting, for some invaluable help in the post-processing. Not only is Sarah a great photographer herself (see her work here), she’s also runs a consulting business near Boston, Massachusetts, helping photographers and other artists learn post-processing with Photoshop and Lightroom, create file management/organizing systems, and general studio management.  In short, she’s really a photographer’s best friend (and quite literally, mine, since middle school! See, there’s my disclaimer…).
